Company Presentation

LifeTec Group B.V. is a contract research company with its focus on the creation and exploitation of enabling technology, medical device testing, research platforms, and imaging solutions mainly in the cardiovascular and orthopaedic field. Years of experience and expertise have been built up concerning the design, production, and programming (control) of various bioreactor and in vitro quality testing systems for industry, academy, and clinic. E.g. for partner UMCU, LifeTec Group has created a bioreactor system that allows controlled perfusion and mechanical loading of tissue engineering constructs that were created using various bioprinting protocols and materials. LifeTec Group has developed systems varying from simple to extremely complex, which makes it an ideal and experienced partner to develop an integrated and automated bioprinter and bioreactor test system. LifeTec Group's facilities and expertise with regard to high-resolution CT imaging (microCT and nanoCT) could also be a valuable tool to quantitatively analyse the results from the different in vivo studies, which would make for a unique combined effort to validate the predictive in vitro test system. LifeTec Group has personnel with versatile yet complimentary expertise. We have people with a profound experience in the scientific orthopaedic regenerative medicine field as well as biomedical, biomechanical and electrical engineers whom combined form an ideal and strong group to produce all facets of successful bioreactor and in vitro test systems for orthopaedic tissue engineering. Project manager Dr. Lars Mulder, has ample experience in coordinating projects within large European consortia in the orthopaedic research field, specifically with regard to osteoporosis, bone and cartilage regeneration, bioreactor systems, and imaging and will be managing LifeTec Group?s tasks and the communication with the different WP leaders.
